Youth
Responding to the needs and challenges faced by our Young People in the present context, we are in the process of finding new ways to consolidate and develop this important aspect of our church’s life. Some of the following events are things we have run that have been well received in the past. We, at Christ Church in association with the Diocese will continue to strive for a meaningful and relevant activities for Young People. In the meantime please contact the Revd. Film and Pizza Night
An evening for the youngsters to relax, eat pizza and watch a film! This event is intended for 13-16 year olds.
Cookie Sessions!
Hands on experience for the young bakers and learning to work together.
Ecumenical Gatherings
An afternoon gathering of young members from Christ Church, Old St. Paul’s, Edinburgh and St. Philip’s, (Church of Scotland) Portobello. The previous afternoons featured engaging conversations on a visual presentation about ‘Christianity in India’ and Ice cream @ Luca’s, ”Prayer and Pilgrimage” by Simon Tibbs, Curate at Old St. Paul’s church.
Taize Prayers
We host Edinburgh University’s service of prayers in the style of Taize on the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm, which is well attended by the wider community.
Diocesan Youth Events
There are a variety of youth events being organised by the Edinburgh Diocesan Youth team in which we actively participate. Information will appear close to the event date.
