2. How we get things done - organisation and
organisations
Vestry
The Vestry is a committee of elected and
ex-officio members of the congregation which meets
regularly to discuss Christ Church matters and make decisions on behalf of the
congregation. It reports formally to the congregation at the Annual General
Meeting. Specific roles are those of Factor, Treasurer, Secretary, and a Lay
Representative who attends Diocesan and Area meetings on Christ Church's behalf.
Sub-committees, with responsibilities such as Finance & Administration,
Communication, UK & Overseas giving and
Property, meet regularly and can include co-opted members. A list of

Wardens
The
People's Warden is appointed by the congregation to represent their views and
interests to the Rector and Vestry. They should be contacted if there is any
church business to be discussed. The Rector's Warden is appointed by the Rector
and supports her in her ministry. Both wardens serve on the Vestry.
