Two tenors….

Bert Lindsay and John Allan have been stalwarts of the tenor section of the choir for many years.  This year they are celebrating important personal milestones….

Bert became a chorister at the age of 12 in the Church of the Good Shepherd in Murrayfield.  He has always had a love of music, particularly Choral music, and has sung in many choirs.  On his marriage to Margaret he attended Christ Church but it was not until 1986 that he was persuaded to join our choir.  He is now the oldest member of the choir and celebrated his 80th birthday on 27 May.

John has always been a member of Christ Church.  He joined the choir as a chorister at the age of 7 and this year celebrated 70 years as a member of the choir.  To mark this event he received a special medal during a church service at Candlemas.  John has a great love of Choral music and is a member of the Garleton Singers.
